Summerhill Stud was founded in 1982 and over the years has had many well known stallions both Thoroughbred and Warmbloods.  Thoroughbreds have included SAMIEL (Royal Dublin Champion),PRIMO PAGEANT and ACCONDY (Royal Dublin Champion) both sold to Ireland and recently MERIT (Champion T.B. Stallion SHB(GB) Stallion Grading) who has now been sold and will stand in Wales.

Our resident stallion STONEGROVE ACE was Champion Stallion BWBS grading at Stoneleigh out of 35 stallions and has sired many top progeny both in showing, dressage and eventing to Advanced level .  We also have limited frozen semen available from ACCONDY. Our stud farm has excellent facilities including : indoor covering yard, CCTV, stocks, electric fencing and large foaling boxes and a resident qualified AI Technician.  Mares can be inseminated with chilled fresh semen to the stallion of your choice.

We have had countless successes over the years. MILL LAW the Advanced Event Stallion was bred by us, being by SAMIEL out of a home bred mare and stood his first season at public stud here in 2001.

ACCONDY was the first Thoroughbred stallion to travel from Gt.Britain to Royal Dublin Show and win the coveted 'Croker Cup' in 2001. Summerhill Stud has won the Henry Tudor Fertility Cup twice and been runner up three times.

Westinghouse by WILDGRAF, another of our past warmblood stallions won Royal Dublin Show being Champion 4.y.o, Champion mare, Champion middleweight and Reserve Supreme Champion Overall in 2002.

Semen has been sent to Ireland, France, Italy and Belgium as well as all over the U.K. with great success.
